I'm writing this from my garden.

I'm sitting outside amongst the bushes having a brain storm about things.
Mainly about religion to be exact because a while ago I watched that movie Contantine which got me interested in the topic of Hell. Then I read the Twilight books which renewed my curiosity again because that ha underlying issues concerning religion too.
This blog is going to be pretty contraversial so if you don't agree with me i fully understand. I'm not writing about it because i believe it but because i find it really interesting.

I was reading somewhere that there are 9 levels of Hell, the first is Limbo which is not a bad place but not quite as good as heaven. It is for those who never knew about God (think still born babies) and then there is a level of hell for each of the 7 sins and then theres the lowest Hell level where Satan is.
Some examples of what happen in each hell reflects on the sin. if you are in the level for gluttony then you are forced to eat black sludge for all of eternity and if you refused to love God then you are thrown into a frozen lake where you will be trapped under the ice forever.

Gruesome hey? but the thing that gets me is that Hell hasnt always been a bad place, in ancient religions it was just a place you went to after you died and there was no heaven.
It wasn't until religions like Christianity rocked up that it became the place where all things evil go (sorry to pick on Christianity but it's the only one i can think of right now).
Another thing is that if you follow Christianity then we have only been around for about 6,000 years. . . . . . . there are religions that are older then that.
I'm not saying there 'is no god' or anything at all but every religion comes with its flaws.

I don't believe that there is a man sitting on a cloud somewhere causing tsunamis and earthquakes but i do believe in a higher universe and The Universe. i believe in karma and cause and effect. For every action there is a reaction as they say.
I also believe in the power of the mind and that what we believe becomes our reality. Itake bits from many religions and merge them together to make what a base which i make my choices on. I take from the Christian religion, Budhism, Wicca and Atheism ironically. I don't go to a church or a temple because I feel theres no need to, if you whorship a god they will know, you don't have to be in their house for them to know your thinking of them and following their law.

Originally I was Catholic, but I don't agree with a lot of their beliefs. Examples being Gays are evil and Women are less then men.
The Bible also states that incest is ok which i think i wrong.
So as a result I do not follow the catholic religion nor the christian religion because although most of their morals are good, there are some that shouldn't be there.
There is a religion out there to suit everyone, most are just less well known then others.

I spose the moral of thiss blog is, don't feel that you haver to choose either one religion or no religion because theres no rule (anymore) saying you have to. If you are not comfortable in your current religion then change, as long as you're a good person with good morals whos loving and empathetic towards others then I doubt Hell will be an issue for you.

well thats my rant for the day and I'm getting distracted by the little bird having a bath near me so I'm going to finish it there.
Hopefully it gave you something to think about.

Paix
