Bachelor's degrees make pretty good placemats if you get 'em laminated.

Hmm my final thoughts for today.

I've come to realise that religion gives more explanations for everything then science, whether its all bogas or not is a different matter.
People who are narrow minded when it comes to religion, spirituality and all things that are considered "outside of the box" are usually the ones who lack self belief or are insecure in themselves.

Another thing that really annoys me is that 'hippies' are always associated with pot smoking.
And Alternative people are always considered 'hippies'. So apparently because I'm alternative, I'm therefore a hippy and because I'm a hippy i therefore smoke pot.
Stereotypes suck.

Another thing is that all the religions that are considered "out there" or weird tend to be better then those more main-stream in the way they perform their religion, preach it and believe it.
I'm not bashing religions but I will if you bash mine.

Every person out there who strictly only believes in 'fact' and who thinks anything spiritual is bullsh*t needs to remember this.

  • You don't know where you came from
  • You don't know where everything else came from.
  • You don't know what's going to happen
  • You don't know what happens after death
  • And you don't know why your here.

Yes, religion has some outrageous suggestions, but they've gotten further then science in all of those areas.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying science is 'wrong' because i believe in it too but to dismiss everything else is just ignorant.

You cannot rule out something just because you've been told too because one day when you die you may get a nasty little surprise when you find that it didnt 'end there' and you can't say it won't happen or it's not true because you don't know, no one knows.

So please, before you go and tell that woman who uses herbal remedies instead of Western medicine or the old man who goes to church every Sunday, rain, hail or shine, that what they do is wrong or silly because you don't know.

Accept that they don't believe in what you believe in and it will help you be more tolerant and relateable on a broader level.

Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Shanti
